At the Student House, about 100 students gathered from China, Korea, Vietnam, Nepal, U.S.A., India, Indonesia and so on. Their Japanese were very good and they seemed to help each other. We cooked traditional foods, sold goods, helped at “International Café” and played the children’s activities together. We had many visitors living in the Tsurumi area. Dishes were delicious and the goods sold well. We were so happy to hear that they were satisfied with our help. Though the jobs were hard, we really enjoyed the event. It was great fun for us to work with the foreign students. At the end of the festival, we had a feeling of achievement. After the festival we had a party. Many students talked a lot and became friendly. I’m sure every Tsurumi University student thought it was an excellent experience! We want to have another volunteer event. Why don’t you join us?
